Maandazi are Kenyan doughnuts made with coconut milk, cardamom and wheat flour. They are often eaten for breakfast with a cup of tea or for dinner alongside beans or pigeon peas..
Pronounced “baa·jee·uh”. They are thinly sliced potatoes coated with gram flour paste mixed with ginger, garlic, cilantro then fried to a delicious crisp. A choice of Tamarind or Chimichurri sauce is included with your order. Bhajia can be eaten as a snack or paired with your favorite meat and vegetable dishes.
Kenyan kebabs are a street food stable all over East Africa. They are made using a meat of your choice, mixed with Swahili herbs and spices, Then coated with egg whites and fried. Most would enjoy Kebabs with a side of Bhajias, but, just like Samosas,they are a snack to be enjoyed any time of day.

Served with a side of ‘Kachumbari’ , Pilau is a Swahili spiced rice cooked in beef/ veggie stock and coconut milk. The spice is a special mix of cloves, coriander seeds, cinnamon, cumin and black pepper. It can be served as is or enjoyed with your favorite sides. For beef, chicken, mutton or goat Pilau, we charge an extra $10 .
